Company/Division Copy & Delete Utility

IMPORTANT   Although the Company/Division menu options (create company/division, delete company/division) display on the System Administration Application Installation menu, they are only available if you have purchased and installed the Copy and Delete Utility. If you have not purchased the utility and you are interested in doing so, please contact your CGC Sales Representative. If you have purchased the utility but you do not have the Copying and Deleting Companies and Divisions guide, please contact the CGC Application Support Coordinator and request a copy.

You can use the Company/Division (Co/Div) Copy & Delete Utility in Application Installation to:

•   Create Companies/Divisions - this feature allows you to copy an existing company and division in order to create a new company and division. Using this function, the From company is retained, and the From and To libraries may differ. CGC data files must exist in both libraries. This feature contains the option to specify the new company as the Distribution company and division. You can copy up to ten company/divisions at one time.

•   Change Companies/Divisions - this feature allows you to change an existing company and division in order to create a new company and division. Using this function, the From company is deleted, and the From and To libraries must match.

•   Duplicate Companies/Divisions - this feature allows you to duplicate existing companies and divisions, similar in function to the “Create Companies/Divisions” option, however when duplicating companies and divisions, you must specify a different library. When using this function, the CGC Data files must exist in both libraries.

•   Delete Companies/Divisions - this feature allows you to remove selected companies and divisions from any library.
