Using the"Menu Option Maintenance Selection Window", you can maintain your menu options. This option provides you with the ability to:
• Incorporate options from CMS menus
• Incorporate from your own program
• Incorporate from a sub menu
• Name your options
• Use subheadings for groups of options
Menu Option Maintenance Selection Window
Menu Name
Enter a valid menu name. Names are created using the Application Maintenance Option from the Menu Maintenance Menu.
Option Number
Enter the option number to be maintained. This is the option number to be displayed on your menu.
OK
Click OK to open the "Menu Option Maintenance Selection Window".
Menu Option Maintenance Detail Window
Option Text
Enter the option name or description. you may use the text used on the CMS menu from which this option originates by leaving this field blank, or enter any user defined description.
Heading Text
Use this feature when you are creating a menu which has several options taken from more than one CMS menu.
Enter a heading for this group of options only when this is the first option of a group.
Lines After
Enter the number of lines to leave blank before listing the next option or heading.
CMS References Menu
Enter the name (located at the upper left corner of every menu) of the menu that this option originates from.
Use the Prompt button to display a list of menu names.
Option
Enter the original option number from the referenced menu. If an option description is not entered above, the CMS option description will be used.
Security Application Code
Enter the code used in security maintenance. The system will pull this data from security maintenance if it is not entered here. The valid application codes are:

Functional Security
The user must have the appropriate function security for the selected option. The system will automatically pull this data if it is not entered here. The valid Functional Security Codes are:

CMS menus cannot be changed by our clients regardless of the code.
Note Once you enter N, you cannot change back to Y.
