Windows XP Service Pack 2 Users

Microsoft recently introduced Service Pack 2, which greatly improves the security features of Internet Explorer. If you have Service Pack 2 installed, and you are attempting to view the help files locally, you will see a security warning information bar in Internet Explorer when you attempt to access any of the CGC Online Help files. The message informs you that Internet Explorer has restricted active content and will not allow the Help to function properly until you purposely allow the content to display.

Temporary Solution
  1. Once the Security bar displays, click the Security Information bar.

  2. Select  Allow Blocked Content...

The Security Warning Message appears.

  3. Click OK.

The instance of Webhelp will now display and function correctly. You will have to perform these steps each time you open or reopen the Webhelp.

Permanent Solution

Please note that while this is the only permanent solution available to XP Service Pack 2 users, Microsoft warns against disabling this feature.
