If you selected the Calculate Check option on the Payroll Entry Control screen, the current entry is calculated and displayed.

Note: This procedure requires processing time. You will experience a short delay.
Creating a Manual Check
To create a manual check from this display enter data in the fields as specified below.
Check Number
Enter the check number (manual or printed).
Check Type
The check type code that you enter must be assigned to the P (Payoff) type as defined in the Check Type Description file.
Bank Account Number
Enter the General Ledger account number the check is drawn on.
Click to create a manual check record. This is used if you do not want to print the manual check (for example, the check is handwritten in the field). |

Click to exit this screen and delete the transaction. The group number is deleted from the payroll work file. |

Click to print the check. You'll need to specify the check size, and then click OK to print the check. This button displays only if the Payroll default, Print Check, is set to Y. For details about setting Payroll defaults, see “Setting Access to the Print Check Button” in the System Administration User Guide. |

Click to display the Calculated Deductions screen, which displays Payroll and Human Resources deductions by deduction number. |

Click to keep the group number in the Payroll work file and return to calling screen. |
Note: After the manual check has been calculated and posted to the work file, you can’t click the PRINT button for this group. See below for instructions on what to do if you have neglected to print checks, but already have processed the checks.
If you've Processed Checks without Printing
If you entered the check information and clicked OK before clicking Print
Check in error, you need to go back into Change
Mode and populate the fields as follows:
1. Enter the group number.
2. Select the Delete option.
3. Click OK to delete the record.
4. In payroll entry, enter the hours again.
5. Continue with the above process and use the Print option.
If you clicked the DEDUCTIONS button on the previous screen, Payroll and Human Resource deductions are displayed by deduction number.
